Pirate Tales, a two-part TV show from TBS Superstation -- airs at 9 p.m. (EDT) Aug. 24 and 9 p.m. Aug. 31. Encore presentations of Part I and Part II air at 12:20 a.m. Aug. 25 and 1:05 a.m. on Sept. 1. Musician-actor Roger Daltrey portrays the 17th-century pirate William Dampier, who recounts the tales and adventures of such pirates as Francis Drake, Henry Morgan, Capt. William Kidd, Blackbeard, Woodes Rogers, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Calico Jack Rackham and Sam Bellamy. "Pirate Tales" explores the golden era of piracy and how pirate adventures and conquests changed the course of history.
